About Us

Mary D — a family owned company • Amedee Lighthouse Island, New Caledonia

Our history

Mary D Enterprises is a family-owned company running day trips to Amedee Lighthouse Island since 1981. For more than forty years we have offered a simple, friendly and unforgettable experience. With 4–5 sailings per week, we welcome around 33,000 guests each year.

Our priorities remain the same: safety, comfort and quality. On board and on the island we constantly improve the experience: a homemade buffet prepared in our own kitchens, a warm welcome from a loyal team, and activities for everyone.

The adventure started in 1981 with a first 17-m vessel (75 pax, ~1h45 crossing), then came the California, Hydrofly and Odyssey… leading to today’s fleet: Mary D Princess and Mary D Seven. In 1999, France awarded us the Bronze Medal of Tourism.

Nearly 30 versatile team members now work on shore, on board and on the island — many for more than fifteen years — giving Mary D its strong family spirit.
